About The Position

The Banquet Manager at the historic Skirvin Oklahoma City, a Hilton Hotel, leads the daily execution of banquet functions and helps create memorable guest experiences. The hotel has 225 guest rooms and more than 16,000 square feet of banquet and event space. The role oversees events ranging from breakfasts and coffee breaks to luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas, while maintaining service and quality standards. The manager coordinates with other hotel teams, oversees setup and breakdown, and supervises and develops banquet team members.

Responsibilities

• Bring an upbeat, friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively find ways to make guests’ experiences special.
• Plan, organize, and execute banquet events, including breakfasts, coffee breaks, luncheons, dinners, cocktail receptions, and galas.
• Oversee function-room setups, ensuring linens, silverware, glassware, and chinaware meet event specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate event specifications, procedures, and updates with Food and Beverage, Event Services, Property Operations, Audio Visual, and Housekeeping teams.
• Ensure function rooms are properly broken down and equipment is stored correctly for the next event.
• Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
