About The Position

The Banquet Houseman sets up designated function rooms according to group requirements and hotel standards, maintains the cleanliness and working condition of equipment in guest and service areas, refreshes rooms as scheduled, and breaks down function areas following departmental procedures. The role also involves storing reusable goods and returning equipment to designated storage areas, as well as courteously accommodating guest requests for additions or changes to scheduled arrangements. On-the-job training is available for applicants with a stable job history. The position is part-time at the Hilton Garden Inn & Convention Center in Suffolk, Virginia.

Requirements

A commensurate or transferable skill set.
A good attitude and work ethic to attain maximum operating efficiency while adhering to established guest satisfaction criteria.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
Stable job history for applicants receiving on-the-job training.
