About The Position

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service by delivering beverages, cashiering, bartending, clearing tables, and maintaining the overall appearance of the convention center, casino, and all other F&B outlets as assigned. This role requires cross-training in all F&B outlets, both front and back of house, to ensure versatile assistance during banquet slower business/function times. The position involves setting up, breaking down, and storing banquet furniture, tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, audio visual, props, staging, dance floors, pipe and drape, portable bars, and other related items. It also includes setting tables with all necessary items for functions, serving food and beverages, mixing cocktails, operating cash registers, and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of designated areas.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally.
  • Ability to take care of the guests’ needs while following company procedures.
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must have OLCC temporary permit before the start date and obtain OLCC Permit within 45 days of the start date.
  • Must have a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.
  • Must obtain VIP (Visually Intoxicated Person) Permit within 45 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience as a server preferred.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete cross training in all F&B outlets, both front and back of house, to ensure versatile assistance when and where needed during banquet slower business/function times.
  • Provide exemplary guest service to all CWCR guests in all capacities.
  • Perform the setup, breakdown, and storage of Banquet furniture, tables, chairs, equipment, supplies, audio visual, props, staging, dance floor, pipe and drape, portable bars, or any other related item.
  • Set tables with all needs for the function i.e. silver, linen, skirting, china, glassware and other requirements.
  • Perform the set up and breakdown for all events and functions, including but not limited to cleaning tables and returning all items, supplies, and equipment to their appropriate storage locations, as specified in internal communications.
  • Serve food and beverage orders to customers and prepares or serves specialty dishes at tables, or to guests throughout casino F&B outlets as required.
  • Serve wine and bottled or draft beer.
  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Check with guests to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and takes action to correct any problems.
  • Operate cash registers to accept payment including monetary, coupons, and comp slips.
  • Assist with the breakdown of events including cleaning tables and returning all items to their appropriate storage location at the completion of each function.
  • Transport all required items for set-up and service from banquet storage areas to the function room.
  • Remove dishes and glasses from tables and prepares them to be sent to the kitchen.
  • Clean tables and surrounding chairs and floors after guests have finished dining and resets the table with utensils and condiments.
  • Stock bus station and other areas with items and utensils.
  • Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments, and napkin containers.
  • Escort guests to their tables as needed.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and appearance of designated area of responsibility.
  • Perform all opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking responsibilities.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards.
  • Maintain general knowledge and provide information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs and services.
  • Provide input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
