About The Position

Prestonwood Country Club, a premier private club in Cary, NC, is seeking reliable, energetic, and hardworking individuals to join our Banquets Team as House Persons (Event Setup Staff). We have Part-Time and Full-Time positions available on 1st and 2nd shifts. This is a great opportunity for students, retirees, or anyone looking for flexible work or a second job. Our Banquet Set Up Staff play an important behind-the-scenes role in creating beautiful and successful weddings, banquets, meetings, brunches, and special events for our members and guests.

Requirements

• Dependable, responsible, and hardworking.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Able to safely lift, carry, push, and pull banquet equipment and supplies.
• Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout your shift.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening and be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Previous banquet, hospitality, restaurant, or event experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates.

Responsibilities

• Set up event rooms before functions and break down rooms after events.
• Clean, clear, and reset event spaces to prepare for the next function.
• Set and reset tables with linens, china, glassware, and silverware.
• Safely carry trays and bus tables during and after events.
• Stock and organize linens, china, silverware, and glassware.
• Ensure silverware and banquet equipment are clean, polished, and in good condition.
• Set up buffets, brunch stations, food displays, and side stations.
• Retrieve food and supplies from the kitchen and safely transport them to the appropriate event area.
• Break down buffets, displays, and side stations after events.
• Help keep banquet and event areas clean, organized, and ready for our members and guests.
• Work as part of a team to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently.
