About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Banquets Event Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth and successful operation, setup and completion of all scheduled functions and proper upkeep of convention, meeting, and banquet facilities and equipment in an efficient and timely manner. Requirements

Able to use computer and standard business systems.
Strong ability to work collaboratively with clients, management, and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

General knowledge of the tourism industry and familiarity with hotel/resort operations is a plus.
Previous experience in banquet, restaurant, and/or event setup, including some leadership or supervisory responsibilities, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for administration work including hiring, scheduling, cleaning sheets, note taking and other administrative items.
Assist with preparation and adjustment of work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts and process payroll accordingly.
Responsible for the smooth and successful operation, setup and completion of all scheduled functions and proper upkeep of convention, meeting, and banquet facilities and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
