About The Position

The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing food according to recipe cards, operating and cleaning kitchen equipment, and managing food inventory. This role requires the ability to think on your feet and perform well in high-pressure situations. The position involves physical demands such as being on your feet, lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending, twisting, climbing stairs, and working on slippery floors. The schedule is flexible and may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year's experience as a prep line/cook
  • Capable of thinking on their feet
  • Able to keep up in high-pressure situations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food consistent with recipe cards
  • Start food items that are prepared ahead of time, making sure not to over-prepare estimated needs
  • Return all food items not used on next shift to designated storage areas
  • Operate and properly clean cooking and kitchen equipment and supplies
