About The Position

The Banquet & Catering Supervisor leads banquet operations and helps deliver exceptional guest experiences at events. The role oversees event setup, execution, and breakdown; coordinates with internal departments; supervises banquet staff; and ensures event spaces, equipment, and service meet guest expectations and resort standards. The supervisor maintains knowledge of event schedules and requirements and supports compliance with resort policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol.
Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to obtain required food handling and alcohol service certifications.

Nice To Haves

Luxury hospitality experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and provide exceptional service throughout each event.
Oversee banquet operations, including event setup, execution, and breakdown.
Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Event Management, Sales, and other departments to ensure seamless events.
Supervise banquet staff, delegate responsibilities, and communicate event details and changes.
Maintain thorough knowledge of daily event schedules, guest counts, room layouts, and setup requirements.
Ensure event spaces, furnishings, equipment, linens, and audiovisual needs meet guest expectations and resort standards.
Inspect event spaces and equipment for cleanliness, functionality, and proper setup.
Coordinate cleaning and maintenance of event spaces with Housekeeping and Food & Beverage.
Ensure compliance with resort policies, safety procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
Assist other departments and perform additional duties as assigned.
