About The Position

Responsible to supervise the Banquet staff to ensure efficient and professional service. This is a part-time, on-call position requiring flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, weekdays, holidays, and special events.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to attend mandatory meetings
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to push 35 lbs., lift 50 lbs. from floor and bend at the knee.
  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
  • Must be able to write and speak conversational English.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule which includes working weekends and holidays.
  • Previous hotel banquet experience required.
  • TABC/Food Handlers certified

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Banquet Staff in room set-up.
  • Checks the overall room for accuracy.
  • Assigns pre-meal assignments to staff.
  • Informs staff of any special requests or special instructions.
  • Assists Banquet Staff clear tables at conclusion of meal function.
  • Ensures that all side-work to include filling and stocking salt/pepper shakers is completed.
