Requirements

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
  • Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Conducts him/herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times.

  • Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers.
  • Relevant experience of banquet functions and/or supervisory experience is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • A basic understanding of and ability to speak Spanish is useful but is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guests with the finest quality of service at all times and in a warm, enthusiastic and friendly manner.
  • Continuously monitor the guest’s service level and comfort at all times.
  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, specials, beverages, wines.
  • Serve all items utilizing appropriate china, glassware, silverware, garnish, and condiments.
  • Take ownership of all guest compliments or complaints and relay same to management.
  • Meet with function group leader to determine last minute changes and discuss various setup arrangements.
  • Ensure proper cleaning of all equipment after function is completed.
  • Supervise assigned banquet team members throughout functions.
  • Assist staff with room set-ups, food service, and clean up when necessary.
  • Maintain Driftwood and hotel standards of food, beverage, and quality guest service.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by delivering an exceptional product.
  • Must have a departmental radio system with ear-piece at all times.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
