About The Position

The Hilton Charlotte Airport is seeking a Banquet Captain to lead the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events. This role involves coordinating the banquet team, ensuring smooth meal service, and assisting with operational tasks like scheduling and inventory. Requirements

  • Customer service experience.
  • At least 6 months of banquet food service experience.
  • Leadership potential or experience.
  • Food and alcohol certifications (or willingness to complete within 90 days).
  • Physical stamina, including lifting, bending, walking, and standing for the entire shift.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring attention to detail with linens, silverware, and china.
  • Coordinate the flow of service during events, ensuring meals are served smoothly and on time.
  • Guide and motivate the banquet team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Handle audio-visual setup and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with scheduling, training, and inventory management for the banquet operations.
