About The Position

The Denver Athletic Club is seeking an on-call Banquet Captain. The role is responsible for preparing events, assigning banquet staff to work areas, and adjusting staff distribution to keep function setup on schedule and aligned with the Banquet Event Order (BEO). The captain coordinates event wrap-up timelines with the Banquet Manager and outside vendors, conducts pre-shift meetings, executes events according to BEOs, ensures bar and vendor timelines are followed, and coordinates cleanup. The Banquet Captain should be prepared to step into any banquet role when needed. The position is located at the Denver Athletic Club, 1325 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver. The candidate must have open availability seven days per week, including weekends and some holidays. Annual events include Easter and Mother’s Day; other events take place throughout the year. The role offers hourly pay and a share of a 5% commission with banquet servers and bartenders. On-call employee benefits include paid holidays, immediate PTO accrual, and a free shift meal. Requirements

Banquet experience in a supervisory role.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Positive, team-player attitude.
Open availability seven days per week, including weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities
