About The Position
Join the Banking and Financial Services group of an Am Law 200 firm in Grand Rapids, in western Michigan. You'll provide regulatory and compliance guidance to banks and non-bank financial institutions on topics like lending and debt collection. You'll also analyze complex statutes and assist with regulatory due diligence, supported by two partners.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in financial services regulation and compliance
- Experience with payments, lending, debt collection, or mortgage servicing
- Am Law 200 or regional law firm experience and a very stable work history
- Strong legal writing and research skills and sound judgment
- Licensed to practice law in your home jurisdiction or eligible for admission
Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory and compliance guidance to banks and non-bank financial institutions on topics like lending and debt collection.
- Analyze complex statutes.
- Assist with regulatory due diligence.
- Contribute to client alerts and industry presentations.
