About The Position

We are accepting applications for a part-time to full-time Teller/Bank Representative. Our representatives are the face of the business and promote the bank's mission by completing bank transactions, opening new accounts, and building strong and lasting customer relationships.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a cash-handling role, preferably in a customer-facing environment such as retail or banking.
  • Strong basic math skills and steadfast attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for customer service.
  • Proven ability to work with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software systems.
  • Unquestionable integrity and the ability to handle sensitive confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Verify customer identities and check negotiability, placing holds on funds as required by bank policy and regulation.
  • Issue financial instruments such as Treasurer’s checks and money orders.
  • Meticulously balance a cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all funds are accounted for.
  • Provide a welcoming and professional environment, greeting every customer and serving as the face of the bank.
  • Actively listen to customer needs to provide information, resolve issues, and answer questions about products, services, and policies.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships by recommending relevant bank products based upon our full scope of banking services.
  • Make internal referrals to appropriate bank members based upon customer needs.
  • Identify the right banking products and educating customers on the use of digital banking tools, including online banking and our mobile application, to enhance their convenience.
  • Perform account research and problem solving as needed.
  • Cross-training in other areas such as ATM, Vault, Savings Bonds, Safe Deposit and other services.
  • Adhere strictly to all bank security protocols, operational procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
  • Act as the first line of defense against fraud by diligently monitoring for suspicious activity and taking appropriate action to mitigate risk.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of all transactions and customer interactions.
  • Maintaining and balancing cash drawers.
