About The Position

This role involves providing essential support to individuals, many of whom are wheelchair users requiring physical assistance to maintain independence. They may also face challenges such as visual and hearing impairment, autism, and learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will be fun-loving, kind, caring, considerate, and respectful, with a love for music and an interest in outdoor activities like shopping, theatre, and dining out. We are looking for someone who is not bossy, pushy, or excessively noisy. Responsibilities

  • Provide physical support to individuals to help them maintain independence.
  • Support individuals with challenges including visual and hearing impairment, autism, and learning disabilities.
  • Engage in outdoor activities with individuals, such as shopping, attending the theatre, and dining out.
  • Facilitate opportunities for individuals to learn new skills.
  • Participate in shared interests like listening to music and singing along.
  • Ensure support is provided based on the principles of choice, dignity, and respect.
