About The Position

Wolfgang Puck Catering is seeking a Baking & Pastry Intern to gain hands-on experience in a professional pastry environment. This internship offers immersion into the day-to-day operations of contract food service, developing practical skills and industry insight. The program is designed to set the stage for future success in the culinary or hospitality industry, with opportunities for mentorship and learning about the business side of pastry operations.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Baking & Pastry Arts.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or professional baking & pastry or culinary program
  • Meet university’s GPA requirement for internship
  • Successful completion of sanitation standards training
  • Must be available to work 20 - 40 hours a week based on business needs & internship requirements

Responsibilities

  • Apply classroom knowledge and baking fundamentals in a hands-on, professional pastry environment
  • Prepare baked goods, pastries, and desserts in support of daily operations, while assisting with seasonal specialties and menu innovation.
  • Assist with pastry production for catering functions, special events, and high-volume service periods
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and uniform standards
  • Assist with ingredient receiving, storage, inventory management, and product rotation
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Participate in associate learning and development activities
  • Gain exposure to the business side of pastry operations

Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour.
  • College credit is not required, but we will provide appropriate documentation if necessary.
