About The Position

Wolfgang Puck Catering is seeking passionate and driven individuals for their Baking & Pastry and Culinary Internship programs. These internships offer hands-on experience in a fast-paced, real-world catering and event dining environment. Interns will work alongside professional chefs and food service leaders, gaining practical skills and industry insight. The programs are designed to immerse participants in the day-to-day operations of contract food service, setting the stage for future success in the culinary or hospitality industry. Wolfgang Puck Catering, founded by Chef Wolfgang Puck, is known for its culinary excellence and refined service, catering to renowned corporate, cultural, and entertainment clients through social events, weddings, corporate events, workplaces, and private cheffing.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or professional baking & pastry or culinary program
  • Meet university’s GPA requirement for internship
  • Successful completion of sanitation standards training
  • Successful completion of relevant knife skills and/or Intro to Culinary coursework
  • Must be available to work 20 - 40 hours a week based on business needs & internship requirements

Responsibilities

  • Apply classroom knowledge and baking fundamentals in a hands-on, professional pastry environment
  • Prepare baked goods, pastries, and desserts in support of daily operations, while assisting with seasonal specialties and menu innovation.
  • Assist with pastry production for catering functions, special events, and high-volume service periods
  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and uniform standards
  • Assist with ingredient receiving, storage, inventory management, and product rotation
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Participate in associate learning and development activities
  • Gain exposure to the business side of pastry operations
  • Support daily culinary operations including food preparation, service, and kitchen organization
  • Execute menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Assist with receiving, storage, inventory, and purchasing
  • Contribute to guest service excellence, innovation, and problem-solving
  • Assist with catering and special events, from preparation and set up to execution.

Benefits

  • $17.50 per hour.
