Bakery Relief Operator - Evening
About The Position
Lunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is hiring a self-directed, outgoing Bakery Relief Operator to produce high-quality products. This is a full-time role paying $22.50–$24.50 per hour. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; this position seeks availability around 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role supports bakery production across multiple areas, operating and monitoring production machinery, preparing ingredients and materials, assisting with baking processes, and finishing and packaging products. It also involves using computer systems for production information and documentation, maintaining food-safety and sanitation standards, and helping train team members as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to operate large-scale machinery and continuous-flow systems.
- Ability to multitask and interpret and follow precise instructions.
- Ability to comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA, AIB, and other regulatory requirements while following good manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor mixers, ovens, depositors, packaging equipment, and other production machinery.
- Gather, measure, and prepare ingredients, mixes, pans, and packaging materials for production.
- Assist with mixing, thawing, proofing, baking, and other production processes.
- Finish, slice, weigh, label, wrap, and package products.
- Set up, operate, and make basic adjustments to equipment to maintain product quality and efficiency.
- Use computer systems to review production schedules, formulas, and inventory, and complete required documentation.
- Follow food-safety guidelines and standard operating procedures, and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Assist with training team members and rotate between production areas as needed.
