We are hiring for a Full-Time Bakery Manager with a wage range of $45,000 - $60,000 at our location in Manning, AB.

Requirements

  • 2 years minimum progressive bakery or restaurant management experience
  • A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a bakery or restaurant environment
  • Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
  • Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for leading and developing others
  • Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
  • Comfortable working during peak bakery hours (i.e.early mornings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of bakery preparation, various baking methods, and food safety regulations
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
  • Most importantly, the willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Bakery Team to Measure, mix, scale, and hand-mould various types of artisanal bread
  • Hand-Mould bread, baguettes, boule, etc.
  • Bake and score traditional bread and bakery products
  • Operate bakery equipment (i.e. commercial mixers, rack ovens, proofer, bread slicer)
  • Inventory Management through weekly ordering, record & invoice maintenance, and leading quarterly inventory counts
  • Schedule Bakery Team Members to ensure that production and customer needs are met
  • Ensure company standards are met and department programs are followed
  • Assist the Store Manager with recruiting while maintaining a high-performance work team
  • Train, develop, and motivate Bakery Team Members
  • Resolve customer and Bakery Department concerns and complaints, and provide a positive customer experience
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area
  • Champion the Freson Bros. brand and culture by modeling our qualities of Drive, Integrity, and Growth
  • Providing an exceptional customer experience
