They are responsible for product merchandising, adhering to labeling laws and regulations, and handling customer relations, including taking special orders and engaging in suggestive selling. The manager also supervises, motivates, trains, and participates in the hiring of bakery personnel, monitors performance, and schedules staff. Communication of sales goals and department performance to associates is key, as is ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures. The role requires resolving associate complaints and reporting potential policy violations to the Store Director. The manager is responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
