About The Position

The Bakery Manager manages department inventory, pricing, merchandising, labor, and safety rules. The manager plans and orders products and supplies and schedules work to maximize sales and gross profit. They ensure new department employees receive appropriate training and safety instruction on bakery equipment, and supervise ordering, receiving, unloading, storing, and rotating merchandise, as well as building displays. The role also includes other store tasks and ensuring employees meet safety standards for equipment operation. The manager must follow strict sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage bakery department inventory, pricing, merchandising, labor, and safety rules.
• Plan and order products and supplies and schedule work to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Ensure new department employees receive proper training and safety instruction on bakery equipment.
• Supervise the correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise, and the building of displays.
• Perform a variety of other tasks in the store.
• Ensure employees meet safety standards for equipment operation.
• Adhere to strict sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.
