About The Position

This role involves setting up and efficiently operating product forming, proofing, baking, and cooling equipment in a manufacturing facility. The operator is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures. Key duties include overseeing product flow, monitoring quality, troubleshooting equipment, performing sanitation, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position requires mechanical aptitude, teamwork, communication skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks in various environmental conditions.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Ability to work in temperature extremes (60°F – 120°F) with moderate noise.
  • 6 months work experience operating production machinery in manufacturing facility.
  • Must have 6 months of work history in the past 12 months.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and efficiently operate product forming, proofing, baking, and cooling equipment.
  • Ensure a safe work environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols.
  • Assemble and dismantle equipment required for production runs.
  • Maintain and submit required documentation: Downtime sheets, Weight sheets, Raw material usage sheets, Product loss forms, Specification sheets.
  • Oversee product flow from divider-sheeter through: Proofer, Oven, Cooling spiral, Packing line.
  • Monitor product quality and make necessary adjustments to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify supervision/maintenance of needed repairs.
  • Perform wash-down and sanitation procedures as required.
  • Inspect equipment for cleanliness and mechanical issues prior to setup.
  • Minimize loss of raw materials and supplies.
  • Complete all QA checks and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with QA, HACCP, GMP, and company policies.
  • Enter and manage data in the CAT2 system.
  • Learn and operate off-line equipment as needed.
