About The Position

Caraluzzi's Markets is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Bakery Associate to prepare, package, merchandise, and maintain fresh bakery products. The role supports the Bakery Department by ensuring product quality and food safety while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Associates bake and decorate items as assigned, maintain attractive displays, monitor freshness, and keep the work area clean and sanitary. The position involves working in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment and requires availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment, including refrigerated areas.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a bakery, grocery store, food service, or retail environment.
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

Package, label, and organize bakery products for display and sale.
Bake fresh bread and other bakery items according to company recipes and quality standards.
Decorate pastries, cakes, and other baked goods as assigned.
Stock, merchandise, and maintain attractive bakery displays.
Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory to ensure quality.
Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient customer service.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in accordance with food safety standards.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
