About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position available only to UND students. The Bakery Assistant will assist the baker with daily production, including cookies, bread, donuts, muffins, and desserts. The role is classified as non-exempt and pays $15.00 per hour for 10 hours per week. It is not available for remote or hybrid work.

Requirements

• Must be a UND student.
• Ability to stand for 3–4 hours.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to handle and prepare meat products in a commercial kitchen.
• Comply with food safety and sanitation requirements, including removing jewelry and wearing a hairnet.
• Verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the baker with daily production.
• Help produce cookies, bread, donuts, muffins, and desserts.
• Pan up product, scale recipes, and set up carts for the next day.
• Maintain sanitation standards and help maintain the storeroom.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures in serving and holding food.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment correctly.
• Wash dishes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
