About The Position

The Bakery Assistant works as part of Wegmans’ bakery department, helping produce and package breads, bagels, sweet treats, and other baked goods. The role supports a fast-moving, customer-focused bakery by maintaining fresh, appealing displays and providing timely customer service.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Bake, produce, and package baked goods.
• Provide incredible customer service and answer customer questions in a timely manner.
• Keep cases and aisles clean and well-stocked to ensure displays are fresh and appealing.
• Follow proper stocking, rotating, and merchandising techniques to ensure freshness.
• May help unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing inventory.
