About The Position

As an entry-level hourly leader in Wegmans’ bakery, the Bakery Assistant Manager works in a dynamic retail environment and helps lead a team of bakery employees. The role provides opportunities to develop skills and gain an understanding of the company, its business measures, and its standards. The manager helps ensure the team is knowledgeable and passionate, educating customers and providing a fresh variety of bakery products.

Requirements

At least 1 year of work experience or a college degree.
Computer skills.
Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

Focus on company standards for merchandising, highlighting product quality, freshness, and uniqueness.

Approach customers proactively, answer questions, help locate items, and offer suggestions to complete their meals.
