About The Position

Super 1 Foods is a family-owned and operated business founded in 1985. The Bakery Assistant Manager manages department inventory, pricing, merchandising, labor, and safety rules. The role includes planning and ordering products and supplies and scheduling work to maximize sales and gross profit. The assistant manager trains and supervises department employees, ensuring they receive proper safety instruction on bakery equipment and that merchandise is correctly ordered, received, unloaded, stored, and rotated, with displays properly built. The position also involves a variety of other store tasks and ensuring employees meet safety, cleanliness, sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage bakery department inventory, pricing, merchandising, labor, and safety rules.
• Plan and order products and supplies.
• Schedule work to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Ensure new department employees receive proper training and safety instruction on bakery equipment.
• Supervise proper ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise, and the building of displays.
• Perform a variety of other tasks in the store.
• Ensure employees meet safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to strict sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.
