About The Position

The Bag Handler loads bags of soiled linen onto rail or conveyor systems so sort/count workstations can process them, and assists those workstations as needed. The role transfers soiled-linen slings and carts to the washroom and clean-linen slings and carts to the Flatwork area. Other tasks may include cleaning empty carts and bins, keeping the work area clean, and working in other production positions as needed.

This position is based in the production areas of an industrial laundry facility, where conditions may include temperature variations, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. The role requires standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, seeing, hearing, stooping, and constantly lifting up to 100 pounds. Employees must be able to meet these physical demands throughout the shift. Travel is not required.
