About The Position
The Backup Operator helps ensure product safety and quality while carrying out production, inspection, cleaning, and safety duties. The role involves completing related paperwork, taking bottle measurements, operating the blow molder and downstream components, cleaning molds, and assisting with changeovers. The operator is expected to maintain a clean and safe working environment, identify unsafe acts or conditions, communicate effectively, and follow safety rules and procedures. The position includes a six-week Blow Mold Basics Operator Training Course, with formal evaluations at three and six weeks and additional periodic evaluations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to perform continuous lifting, bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Willingness to complete training in blow mold basics through a six-week Operator Training Course, with evaluations at three weeks, six weeks, and additional periodic intervals.
- Cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
