About The Position

A family in Chandler, Arizona, is seeking a reliable, experienced, and nurturing babysitter to provide occasional backup care for their 9-month-old daughter, who attends full-time daycare. Care is as needed, primarily Monday through Friday, about 2–3 times per month for typically 2–3 hours per visit. Typical hours are 5:30 PM–7:30 PM, with occasional early morning needs from 5:00 AM–7:30 AM. The family would provide one week's advance notice. Weekend availability is a plus but is not required. The position is ongoing, with an ASAP start, ideally by mid-November. Care will take place in a gated community near Downtown Chandler, AZ. The babysitter will pick up the child from daycare, approximately 5 miles away, and transport her home. The family will provide a car seat and reimburse mileage at $0.76 per mile. Pay is $25 per hour. The home has two friendly, medium-sized dogs, approximately 30 and 40 pounds.

Requirements

At least 2 years of paid childcare experience with infants of a similar age.
Infant CPR certification.
Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current auto insurance.
Clean driving record and successful completion of a motor vehicle record check.
Successful completion of background and social media checks.
At least 2 references from previous paid childcare positions.
Comfort working in a home with two friendly, medium-sized dogs.

Responsibilities

Pick up the child from daycare and safely transport her home, approximately 5 miles.
Provide attentive, nurturing care through age-appropriate play and activities.
Prepare and serve meals or bottles according to the parents' guidelines.
Assist with the bedtime routine, including bathing, feeding, rocking, and monitoring the child while asleep.
Occasionally assist with early morning routines and daycare drop-offs.
Maintain open communication with the parents regarding the child's care and well-being.
