About The Position

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Backside Security Guards at Mardi Gras Casino in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. Reporting to the Security Manager, the role helps maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members in accordance with West Virginia Gaming Commission requirements and applicable operational standards. Mardi Gras Casino and Resort includes table games, a poker room, slot machines, live greyhound racing, off-track betting, restaurants, and a hotel.

Requirements

Be a state-certified security guard.
Be able to obtain a license from the state gaming commission.
Be highly motivated and take initiative.
Be team-oriented and able to work effectively with others.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Enforce rules and regulations of the local gaming commission.
Follow unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
Report incidents, procedural violations, and illegal activity in accordance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
Complete departmental log forms, ensure paperwork is complete, and turn it in at the end of shifts.
Handle guest complaints using active listening to manage difficult situations and communicate sensitively and with care.
Operate a motor vehicle as necessary.
