About The Position

The Backroom Processing Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, loss prevention, safety, and labor standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures, supports merchandising and store recovery, and helps maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store. They may also ring customer purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. The position is at HomeGoods Store 0803, 270 East Brannon Road, Nicholasville, Kentucky. Starting pay is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work in multiple store areas when cross-trained to support business needs.
