About The Position

The Backroom Merchandise Processing Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising standards, and participating in store recovery and cleanliness. Associates may also ring purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, support shrink-reduction goals, and contribute to a safe, positive store environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
