Backroom Processing Associate
About The Position
The Backroom Processing Associate is responsible for supporting a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to meet business needs. The role includes processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, supporting store recovery and cleanliness, and contributing to store culture, safety, and shrink-reduction goals. The position is located at HomeGoods Store 0803 in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The starting pay range is USD $13.00 to $13.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide the correct change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
