About The Position

The Backroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards, and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate models positive customer service practices and a respectful store culture, processes purchases and returns accurately, promotes credit and loyalty programs, prepares merchandise for the sales floor, and participates in store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
