Backroom Associate
About The Position
The Backroom Associate supports store operations and delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, labor, and safety standards, and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to meet business needs. Responsibilities include supporting store culture with honesty, integrity, and respect; processing customer purchases and returns accurately; promoting credit and loyalty programs; preparing merchandise for the sales floor; maintaining merchandising and recovery standards; and contributing to store shrink-reduction and safety programs. Associates give and receive constructive feedback and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers while modeling established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
