About The Position

The Backroom Associate is responsible for supporting a highly satisfied customer experience, maintaining a clean and organized store, and following operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. The role may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer-experience practices, contributes to a positive store culture, processes merchandise for the sales floor, supports store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts, and participates in safety awareness. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while following established customer-experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the company’s merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
