Seasonal Backroom Associate
About The Position
The Backroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and processes merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures. The position also includes store recovery, maintaining cleanliness and organization, supporting shrink-reduction and safety programs, following labor laws and company policies, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the company merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
