About The Position

The Seasonal Backroom Merchandise Associate supports store operations by preparing and processing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising and recovery standards, and helping deliver a highly satisfied customer experience. The associate follows operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, safety, and labor standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role also includes customer transactions, promoting credit and loyalty programs, maintaining store cleanliness and organization, and contributing to a positive store culture.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the company’s merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and participate in maintaining the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
