About The Position

abra professional services is seeking a skilled Backend Node.js Developer to develop and maintain backend services in a complex, event-driven Microservices architecture. The role involves processing events from multiple systems, supporting business processes and services, developing REST APIs, and integrating complex systems and interfaces. The developer will investigate technical issues and analyze logs in distributed environments, design technological solutions in collaboration with development, architecture, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams, and use AI tools throughout planning, coding, and testing while critically reviewing AI-generated outputs.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Central Israel, with four days a week in the office and one day remote.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in backend development using Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
• At least 2 years of experience developing Microservices.
• At least 2 years of experience working with Kafka and/or RabbitMQ.
• At least 2 years of experience developing REST APIs and working with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• At least 1 year of experience writing automated Unit and Integration tests.
• Proven experience regularly using AI tools for planning, development, and testing, including critically evaluating outputs and identifying and correcting errors.
• Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong system-wide thinking, solution design, and complex troubleshooting skills.
• Strong analytical and system-wide thinking and technological solution design capabilities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex distributed environments.
• Critical thinking and sound judgment, particularly when evaluating AI-generated outputs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with technical and business stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with MongoDB.
• Familiarity with monitoring and log analysis tools such as Elasticsearch and Kibana.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes environments.
• Experience developing with TypeScript.
• Experience developing with React.
