Reimagined from a landmark 19th-century freight hub into a dynamic 50,000-square-foot venue, The Mallory blends original industrial architecture with modern design and technology to host everything from galas and fashion shows to weddings and private celebrations for up to 550 guests. We are building a hospitality-oriented team dedicated to delivering thoughtful, high-touch experiences for every client and guest who step through our doors. As we continue building our opening team, we are seeking full-time Back of House Attendants to help deliver exceptional events through meticulous preparation, organization, and operational support. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, taking pride in maintaining a polished venue and ensuring every event is executed seamlessly. Overview: As a Back of House Attendant at The Mallory, you are essential to the venue’s atmosphere and its constant readiness for the next event. This role is designed for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in keeping a space pristine and ensuring the seamless execution of unique, high-profile moments. You work throughout the venue to ensure everything is perfect for our guests, providing the behind-the-scenes support that makes every event successful.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, janitorial, custodial, or facilities support preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while staying responsive to team needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, professional environment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude and reliability are a must.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all client-facing areas, restrooms, and common spaces remain immaculate and fully stocked to reflect the premium standards of the venue.
  • Act as a quick-response resource for spills or urgent needs, resolving issues quietly and efficiently while events are in progress.
  • Monitor the space throughout the event to ensure the venue stays gallery-ready from the first arrival to the final attendee.
  • Support the arrival and organization of vendor, client, and internal deliveries while keeping the operations team in the loop.
  • Work with the setup and breakdown teams to transition the space between events, including the careful movement of furniture and gear.
  • Handle waste and recycling flows to keep back-of-house areas and service corridors clear, safe, and organized.
  • Ensure that all FOH, BOH, and kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized regularly, operates correctly, and is vendor-ready before and after each event while following health and safety regulations.
  • Provide vendor support and oversight at all times throughout an event lifecycle.
  • Perform routine upkeep like surface cleaning, dishwashing, polishing, paint touch-ups, and lighting updates to keep the venue looking its best.
  • Use internal systems to flag facility issues and repair requests, helping maintain the integrity of the building.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to create a clean and secure environment for the entire crew and our clients.
