Hourly Rate: $21 per hour with overtime eligibility About The Mallory: The Mallory is Convene Hospitality Group’s premier new event destination located within the historic Terminal Warehouse in West Chelsea, New York. Reimagined from a landmark 19th-century freight hub into a dynamic 50,000-square-foot venue, The Mallory blends original industrial architecture with modern design and technology to host everything from galas and fashion shows to weddings and private celebrations for up to 550 guests. We are building a hospitality-oriented team dedicated to delivering thoughtful, high-touch experiences for every client and guest who step through our doors. As we continue building our opening team, we are seeking full-time Front of House Attendants to support the seamless execution of events from setup through completion. In this role, you will transform and maintain event spaces to meet each client’s unique vision, ensuring guest-facing areas remain polished, organized, and event-ready throughout the day. You will provide real-time support by adjusting room layouts, replenishing supplies, coordinating deliveries, assisting with food and beverage service, and managing inventory and event equipment. Working behind the scenes, you will also safely move and stage furniture, tables, seating, and other event assets while helping maintain an organized back-of-house environment and upholding safety standards to deliver exceptional experiences for every guest. Overview: As a Front of House Attendant at The Mallory, you are essential to the venue’s physical transformation and its constant readiness for the next event. This role is designed for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in navigating a versatile, ever-changing floor plan and ensuring the seamless execution of unique, high-profile moments. You work throughout the venue to ensure every layout and detail is perfect for our guests, providing the behind-the-scenes support that makes every event successful.

Responsibilities

  • Transform event spaces by precisely placing furniture, equipment, and décor to match the specific vision for each unique gathering.
  • Act as a quick-response resource for event staff or clients, making real-time adjustments to room layouts or restocking supplies as needs evolve.
  • Monitor the space throughout the day to ensure all guest-facing areas remain immaculate and gallery-ready for an exceptional experience.
  • Setup and serve food & beverage offerings as required throughout the venue, including those provided by external food & beverage partners and vendors.
  • Coordinate the arrival and organization of vendor, client, and internal deliveries while maintaining clear communication with the operations team.
  • Support the beverage and inventory programs by managing the flow of glassware, linens, and supplies needed for high-quality service.
  • Carry out regular inventory counts and organize equipment storage to keep back-of-house areas organized and ready for the next event transition.
  • Execute the movement and positioning of event assets including tables, staging, and seating with a focus on efficiency and proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain the condition of the venue by handling high-end furniture and equipment with care, ensuring everything is staged safely and stays in peak form.
  • Prioritize a secure environment by keeping load-in paths clear, utilizing correct transport tools, and following safety protocols during active room transitions.
