About the position
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Middle Office Technology team. In this role, you will support development teams in various areas such as Trade Processing, Confirmation/Affirmation and Settlement, PnL Calculation, and other Fund Processing. As part of Point72's Technology group, you will contribute to the improvement of our company's IT infrastructure and play a crucial role in positioning us at the forefront of the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Your responsibilities will include analyzing business requirements, documenting data and process flows, creating testing plans, and serving as a scrum master for the development team.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into implementation specifications
- Work with business users and development teams to define clear and testable acceptance criteria
- Document data and process flows, both existing and proposed
- Assist in the creation of Quality Assurance testing plans and participate in UAT testing efforts
- Organize, maintain, and track capacities, velocities, statuses, and deliverables
- Serve as a scrum master for the development team
- Have 8+ years of business analysis experience in the financial industry
- Possess knowledge of financial products including fixed income, credit, equities, and derivatives
- Familiarity with post-execution trade flows, settlement and confirmation workflows, profit and loss calculation, and systems supporting those processes
- Fluent in the software development life cycle (Waterfall and Agile) and SDLC tools (JIRA)
- Experience creating data flow diagrams, business requirements documents, quality assurance plans, and data conversion/deployment plans
- Experience with SQL Server and other data warehouse technologies
