About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat B Level Automotive Technician with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The technician diagnoses and repairs vehicles, builds experience working on domestic and foreign vehicles, completes courtesy inspections, and collaborates with the service department and other technicians to address customer concerns and deliver results. The role is at the independently owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive location at 22240 Midland Drive in Shawnee, Kansas. The shop offers a consistent workload, manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment, factory scan tools, free training, live technician support, and access to a private Technician Assistance Center. Compensation is listed at $30–$40 per hour, with flag-hour pay for the most skilled technicians and additional pay for each 10 flag hours over 90 per two-week pay period. A sign-on bonus is available for top technicians. The shop is closed weekends.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 75 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces as required by repairs.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certifications A1–A8 (nice to have, but not required).

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and skills.
Continue building experience across a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
