About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat B Level Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The technician will diagnose and repair vehicles, build experience across domestic and foreign makes, and contribute to a team focused on efficient, high-quality service. This opening is at an independently owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in Shawnee, Kansas.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Positive attitude and desire to serve guests.
• Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
• Aptitude and willingness to learn additional skills and processes.
• Strong communication skills.
• Desire for long-term career development.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
• Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces as required by repairs.
• Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
• Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
• Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certifications A1–A8; certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles using automotive knowledge and skills.
• Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Work with the team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
• Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Communicate customer concerns effectively and work closely with the service department.
• Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
• Meet or exceed hourly goals.
