About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to build and operate an internal developer platform supporting Azure, CI/CD, Kubernetes, pipelines, and automation in connected and air-gapped environments. The position is based at SAIC’s Arlington, Virginia location and is primarily onsite at the customer location, with at least three days onsite per week. Onsite requirements may change based on program needs. The role includes building internal DevOps tools, CLI utilities, and automation scripts, and supporting secure, repeatable delivery workflows. The toolset and environment include GitLab for source control and pipelines, Terraform for automation, Python for helpers and tests, Helm for Kubernetes deployments, and Microsoft Azure Stack Hub with a Hyper-V sidecar. The engineer will support trunk-based workflows, deterministic pipelines with testing and security scans, and evidence such as JUnit results, SBOMs, and scan results attached to changes. The role also supports secure artifact movement and promotion for high-side environments, including offline scanning and use of checksums, signatures, repository mirroring, reposync, and Pulp. The position requires attention to secret hygiene and familiarity with secrets management and vulnerability and misconfiguration scanning in CI.
