This role involves designing, building, and maintaining cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, implementing Infrastructure as Code, managing CI/CD pipelines, automating processes, and supporting cloud adoption initiatives. The engineer will also monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless delivery and platform integration. A key aspect of the role is working directly with clients and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions.

Requirements

4+ years of commercial experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform (Bicep or ARM templates are also welcome)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tooling
Good understanding of Azure networking, security, identity management and monitoring services
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS)
Knowledge of cloud governance, security best practices and operational excellence principles
Experience supporting cloud migrations, deployments and production environments
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
Experience working with international clients or distributed teams
Proactive mindset, strong ownership and a passion for automation
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
Very good command of English

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of data platforms and services such as Databricks, Data Lake, Azure Data Factory or Azure SQL would be an advantage

Responsibilities

Designing, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure with a focus on security, scalability, reliability and cost optimization
Implementing and managing Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform
Building, maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
Automating infrastructure provisioning, deployments and operational processes
Managing Azure platform services, including networking, identity management, security, monitoring and governance
Supporting cloud adoption initiatives, including application and data platform deployments and migrations
Monitoring platform performance, availability and security, and proactively addressing issues
Troubleshooting infrastructure, deployment and operational challenges across multiple environments
Collaborating closely with software engineers, data engineers and architects to ensure seamless delivery and platform integration
Driving continuous improvement of DevOps practices, automation standards and cloud operations
Working directly with clients and technical stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into scalable cloud solutions
