About The Position

As a Senior AWS Edge Engineer, you will design and deliver secure, portable, high-performance compute solutions for demanding environments, including disconnected battlefields and remote locations. The role bridges cloud innovation and tactical resilience, integrating AI models at the edge and using AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, and SageMaker to build systems that can operate autonomously. The work emphasizes zero-trust security and rugged reliability.

You will develop packaged solutions that synchronize with AWS Cloud, contribute to containerized and microservice-based architectures, and work with CI/CD tools such as GitLab. The position involves collaborative, cross-functional problem solving and applying Agile methods and software engineering practices to mission-critical products.

Requirements

• Experience with AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, or SageMaker Edge Manager for deploying and managing workloads at the tactical edge.
• Experience building packaged solutions that synchronize with AWS Cloud, including solutions that operate autonomously in tactical edge scenarios.
• Experience with containerization technologies, microservice network architecture, and CI/CD tools, including GitLab.
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
• Knowledge of the broader ecosystem and technical environment of software programming.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with SD-WAN, 5G or NextG, and satellite connectivity.
• Experience incorporating Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), vulnerability scanning, and compliance-as-code for secure deployments.
• Experience orchestrating OTA updates and rollback strategies over constrained links.
• Experience with AWS Outposts and hybrid architectures for tactical and disconnected environments.
• Top Secret clearance.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification.
