About The Position

As a Senior AWS Edge Computing Engineer, you will design and deliver secure, portable, high-performance compute solutions for demanding environments, including disconnected battlefields and remote locations. You will bridge cloud innovation with tactical resilience by integrating AI models at the edge and using AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, and SageMaker to build systems that operate autonomously and reliably in mission-critical settings. The role is based in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is not listed as remote.

Requirements

Experience with AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, or SageMaker Edge Manager for deploying and managing workloads at the tactical edge.
Experience building packaged solutions that synchronize with AWS Cloud, including solutions that operate autonomously in tactical edge scenarios.
Experience with containerization technologies, micro-service network architecture, and CI/CD tools, including GitLab.
Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.
Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Knowledge of the broader ecosystem and technical environment of software programming.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SD-WAN, 5G or NextG, and satellite connectivity.
Experience incorporating Software Bill of Materials (SBOM), vulnerability scanning, and compliance-as-code for secure deployments.
Experience orchestrating OTA updates and rollback strategies over constrained links.
Experience with AWS Outposts and hybrid architectures for tactical and disconnected environments.
Top Secret clearance.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Certification.
