Modify, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. This role requires intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. The technician will accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wire diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders, and other documents. They will modify, repair, replace, or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in a specialized area of aircraft, properly utilizing and maintaining Avionics hand tools. Accurate documentation of work performed daily using the standard format is essential, as is preparing routine reports and correspondence. The role involves fabricating wire bundles and assemblies per drawings and standard practices, troubleshooting issues, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making necessary adjustments. Operation of ground support equipment (e.g., GPUs, Hi-Reach) and test equipment (e.g., Pitot Static Cart, Navigation test sets) is also required. General clean-up of the work area, accurate clocking to jobs, regular and prompt attendance, and effective and appropriate conduct with coworkers are expected. Performs other duties as assigned.
