Modify, service, repair, and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness. This is a temporary role, employed through an agency. The Avionics Technician II has intermediate knowledge of all areas of the aircraft and assigned work area. They accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wire diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the client and Greenpoint. They modify, repair, replace, or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in a specialized area of aircraft. They properly utilize and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations. They accurately document work performed as set forth by Greenpoint and customer maintenance programs daily using the standard format. They prepare routine reports and correspondence. They fabricate wire bundles and assemblies per drawings and standard practices to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors. They troubleshoot issues, replace, or repair parts, test, and make necessary adjustments. They operate ground support equipment (e.g., GPUs, Hi-Reach) and test equipment (e.g., Pitot Static Cart, Navigation test sets) as required. They help with general clean-up of the work area and are responsible for accurately clocking to jobs. Regular and prompt attendance and effective and appropriate conduct with coworkers are expected. Performs other duties as assigned.
